Students design and construct robotic animals, then program them to act like the real animals. They build Robo Pets using the LEGO Mindstorm system and discuss animal physiology and kinesiology and unique features they would like to include in their creatures. After constructing their pets, they learn how to program them using Robolab software Making full use of light sensors, rotation sensors and touch sensors, students make the interactions with their pets as realistic as possible.
