Students build amazing, colorful puppets of their own design; creating whatever kind of creature they desire out of reused materials. They choose from three styles of puppetry from around the world—a Japanese Bunraku, which ranges in size from two-and-a-half to four-feet tall or more, a Chinese Rod puppet, made with true-to-life features and raised overhead at the top of a stick, or an Indonesian Shadow Puppet. Puppets can be showcased in a final presentation on the last day of class.
