Build a strong foundation for programming in C++ – a powerful, object-oriented programming language used by professionals – to create a variety of computer programs and applications. Use C++ to program games, solve puzzles and create text art making learning the language entertaining and accessible. Classes will combine examples and programming exercises in a Windows environment. Learn to create simple computer games. Read and write information to and from files on the hard drive, use data types and control repetition. Practice debugging and troubleshooting to make your programs and games more sophisticated and interactive. Throughout the class you will use an open-source version of this industry-wide language that you can also use at home on your personal computer.
