Makeda Gershenson spent 5 years teaching and running after-school programs. Teacher turned SEL Specialist and Curriculum Designer, Makeda loves developing relevant and engaging classroom experiences that support students in developing skills necessary to collaborate, problem solve, think creatively, and learn how to best learn. Her teaching philosophy focuses on developing empathy, cultivating a growth and becoming empowered through self-awareness. Her courses are cross-curricular with a heavy splash of social-emotional learning.
