Justin Martin moved to Portland in the fall of 2015. He was raised in New Jersey and has a B.A. in Mathematics from Rutgers University. Before his move to Portland, Justin spent the previous two years working in New Hampshire as a mathematics teacher to competitive skiers and snowboarders and as a backcountry, wilderness caretaker in the White Mountains. Prior to that he worked in outdoor, experiential science education for middle school students around New England. Justin served 4 years in the US Army as a reconnaissance specialist serving in South Korea and Afghanistan. In his free time, Justin enjoys exploring, juggling, and various crafty hobbies such as leather working, book-binding, and soap-making.
