On August 18th, 130 exceptional high school interns presented projects and experiences from their 8-week internships through poster sessions and oral presentations at the ASE Symposium. It was a treat to learn from our future scientific and technical leaders on widely varying topics, such as Basketball Shoe Baseline Performance, Fish Disease Research, and Economic Benefits of Giant Sequoias on the Heating and Cooling of Buildings. Many thanks to IBM, University of Portland, over 250 ASE mentors, our generous funders, and intern families for their support of this special day.
